    Awesomebeans

365 days. 365 items of clothing. 365 dollars.

365 clothes for the price of a single pair of Ralph Lauren vintage jeans? I dunno about you, but that sounds totally awesome for me.

Blogger Marisa Lynch is only a few weeks shy of reaching her goal of spending a dollar a day for an entire year to make new dresses. Her blog, aptly named New Dress A Day, is her cyber journal-slash-closet where she boasts her skills on transforming flea market/thrift store buys into something current and wearable.

Lynch’s “experiment” was featured on TIME.com and I became a fan even before I saw her blog. I started subscribing to her posts ‘cause, hello, who among you fine ladies don’t want to see what a gal could do to a sad-looking, one-dollar dress? Here are my faves so far:

    DAY 77:

    DAY 138:

    DAY 148:

    DAY 191:

    DAY 239:

    DAY 242:

By now, she has 301 custom-made tops, dresses and whatnot in her closet. Doesn’t that make you jealous? I know I am.

let the chase begin

Life didn't promise any of us candies and rainbows. As it is, we have to carry ourselves, burdens and all. Knowing that is good, but putting it into action would make it better. Heck, it could even make you happier.

who i am is not based on learnings and words. i am who i think of myself as i am, at that precise moment that i think about who i am.
1. Arredismo: because love exists
2. Facebook: because friends are worth keeping
3. Words are Yummy: because I'm a wordfreak
4. Twitter: because things happen in my life, with or without reason

    i listen to the inanimate

Books have been and will always be the companions I would never regret having, the friends I adore spending my time with, and the life coaches I can never be deaf to.
