Almost two months ago, I decided to spend moolah on a desk lamp-slash-night light and I’m loving the one I purchased which, btw, I bought for less than 500pesos. Cool, eh? The only thing I hate about it is that it’s still a bit too bright for me. I still love it regardless because of its bold yellow color and the modern vibe it gives to my tiny room.
Peeking into my room, one can see how cluttered I could be. My bedside table, which usually holds my books, now has some of my clothes and my bag. My green wall holds three of my mom’s knitted fabric, a wall fan, a cork board that holds most of my neck pieces, and a line of hooks holding anything that can be hung. One of the windows has a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles curtain, which I so adore (I’m a kiddo at heart ;P), and the other holds a dark green curtain to block the sunlight. My work desk is the most annoying part of the room: beauty products, my laptop, books, notebooks, more books, my water tumbler, writing materials, magazines, an empty tissue box..ugh. It’s just full of things I should’ve disposed weeks ago. Mental note: MUST CLEAN MY ROOM.
Point is, my room’s a mess but one can still distinguish the modern, colorful look I’m trying to create. Then again, I was never the modern, playful girl. I still love earth colors and nature-inspired designs, which is probably why my room will forever be a work in progress.
Oh look, my life and my room has something in common. Ha!
